Hi, I’m Marisol!

Thanks for checking out my site and my art. I’m a crafter and artist, and founder of June Gloom Studio. I blend digital design skills with practical elements to create uniquely beautiful pieces across various media, and specialize in stained glass pieces. My glassworks capture light in a way that not only changes the very room they are placed in, but each room changes the pieces placed within them. 

When the power tools fall silent, you’ll likely find her devouring art in books, Pinterest boards, and my community. Artists like Disney Legend Mary Blair, painter Frida Kahlo, and Vincent Van Gogh keep me on the hunt for new ways to express the full spectrum of human emotions and communities, connecting my Mexican past with my Chicagoland present, and wherever the future finds me.

But I don’t just create art. I have years of experience working with kids and adults, on everything from art projects to my past life facilitating animal interactions at the Brookfield Zoo.

I live in Forest Park, Ill., with my husband, kids and cats.
